Mr. Hackbarth has been actively involved in the technical work of the OSGi Alliance for almost 7 ½ years now. He is the Chair of the OSGi Requirements Working Committee, Residential Expert Group as well as interim Chair of the Vehicle Expert Group. Mr. Hackbarth is also involved in several government funded research projects, such Global Systems for Telematics (GST) and USDOT’s Vehicle Infrastructure Integration Program. In addition he promotes the OSGi-technology in other initiatives such as BITKOMs' "Dialogkreis Telematik & Konvergenz". He also also plays key role in the foundation of the OSGi Users’-Forum Germany.

Mr. Hackbarth’s focus lies in the areas of smart-home and automotive telematics, where he actively drives current developments and is involved in the strategic positioning of ProSyst´s product portfolio.
