Miguel García Longarón 
Miguel García Longarón (Madrid, 1979) is a Research and
Development Engineer at Telefónica I+D since 2004. He has been involved
in technical OSGi for 6 years in a number of research projects related
to different market areas, in which OSGi has taken and important role,
including residential and vehicle.
He has broad experience in residential services for Telefónica (Hogar.es
project), open-source middleware applied to the home environment (OSMOSE
and OSIRIS projects) and remote management of home devices (EnComPAs and
Redes de Cliente projects). He joined Telefónica R&D's Networked Vehicles
Division in early 2008, where he is actively involved to build an in-vehicle,
OSGi-based service platform for driver and passenger services. As an OSGi
Architect, he is leading the technical design and implementation of this
platform within the Division.
He has also been involved in standardization activities within the OSGi
Alliance in the last years, providing requirements and studying technical
solutions to integrate the remote management of the OSGi framework with
several technologies in the telco field. He is currently the Telefónica
R&D representative in the OSGi Alliance's Vehicle Expert Group.
