10. Integrated project “Field operational tests of aftermarket and nomadic devices in vehicles” (TeleFOT, 2008-2012), partially funded by the European Union (EU) under contract 224067. Withdrawn from the project in November 2009 for strategic reasons.

9. Seedbed project "StreetInfo2Me: Taking parking and traffic information to the street" (StreetInfo2Me, 2008-2009), supported by Telefónica's Corporate Innovation Program (CIP 2008).

• Our results: Prototypes of Road Side Unit (RSU) and of contextual, traffic-related services offered to WiFi/Linux mobile devices and to the Telefónica In-Car Box (TICBox).

7. STREP project “Dangerous goods transportation routing, monitoring and enforcement” (GOODROUTE, 2006-2008), partially funded by the EU under contract FP6-2004-IST-4-027873:

• Our results: Design and development of a conflict resolution module, and security analysis for safe route planning and monitoring of trucks transporting dangerous goods.

6. "Servicios de comunicaciones para vehículos” (SCV, 2007-2008), partially funded by the Castilla y León Regional Government within the ADE 2007 program.

• Our results: Design, development and prototype implementation of a V2V, V2R and V2I platform capable of seamless handover between WiFi and UMTS technologies.

5. STREP project “Cooperative communication system to realise enhanced safety and efficiency in European road transport” (COM2REACT, 2005-2007), partially funded by the EU under contract FP6-2004-IST-4-027071:

• Our results: Design, simulation, prototype implementation and field testing of inter-vehicle communications based on IEEE 802.11b and OLSR.

4. Integrated project “Mobility and collaborative work in European vehicle emergency networks” (MyCarEvent, 2004-2007), partially funded by the EU under contract FP6-IST-004402:

• Our results: Techno-economic evaluation of the “Digital Car” concept. Design and implementation of a platform for safety, route planning and infotainment services in vehicles based on communications. Integration of this platform in a car, in collaboration with Seat.

2. Seedbed project Comunicaciones Car2Car con respaldo GPRS (2007) for Telefónica España (former Telefónica Móviles):

• Our results: State-of-the-art analysis and proposal of an architecture for V2x communications.

1. PROFIT project “Acceso de banda ancha a Internet para el AVE y plataforma de servicios” (@VE, 2004-2006), partially funded by Telefónica (2004) and by the Spanish Government (2005-2006, contracts FIT-330210-2005-46 and FIT-330210-2006-52):
